About GMUN
The GITAM Model United Nations (GMUN) is a student-led platform dedicated to fostering diplomacy, leadership, and global awareness through meaningful dialogue and Model United Nations simulations. Established in 2022 as a Student Interest Group and recognised as an official university club in 2024, GMUN empowers students to develop public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, and policy-making skills. By promoting evidence-based discussions and diverse perspectives, it bridges academic learning with real-world global challenges. GMUN provides an inclusive space where future leaders collaborate, innovate, and engage with issues of national and international significance. Proudly, it is the only Model United Nations organisation in Andhra Pradesh to have successfully hosted four MUN conferences, reflecting its commitment to excellence and impactful student engagement.
