Our MUN follows the UNA-USA (United Nations Association of the United States of America) format, providing delegates with an authentic and structured Model United Nations experience.

    Formal inauguration of the conference, welcome address, introduction to the conference, and briefing for delegates.

    Committees begin their proceedings with roll call, agenda setting, opening statements, and moderated discussions.

    Lunch break for delegates, organisers, and guests.

    Session 2

    Continuation of committee proceedings with focused debate, negotiation, and discussion on the respective agendas.

    A short refreshment break for delegates, organisers, and guests.

    Socials Night

    An informal evening for delegates to interact, network, and engage in cultural and social activities.

Getting Here

Travel & Transportation

GITAM's Visakhapatnam campus is in Gandhi Nagar, Rushikonda, on the city's northern coast along Beach Road. Visakhapatnam is well connected by air, rail and road, and getting to campus from any arrival point is straightforward.

Nearest Airport

Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport

Approx. 40 km · 1 hr by road

Visakhapatnam's international airport at Bhogapuram, north of the city. Prepaid taxis and app-based cabs are available at the terminal for the drive down to Rushikonda.

Nearest Railway Station

Visakhapatnam Railway Station (VSKP)

Approx. 15 km · 30–40 min by road

The city's main station, on the East Coast Railway with direct trains from most major Indian cities. Autos and cabs are available outside the station. Some trains stop only at Duvvada (DVD), south-west of the city, so check your ticket.

Intercity Buses

Dwaraka Bus Station (RTC Complex)

Approx. 14 km · 30 min by road

APSRTC and private operators run regular services to Visakhapatnam from across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha, arriving at the Dwaraka bus station in the city centre.

Getting Around

Cabs, autos & city buses

App-based cabs and bike taxis (Uber, Ola, Rapido) and auto-rickshaws are the easiest way to reach campus. APSRTC city buses also run along Beach Road towards Rushikonda.
